Trip Overview
This seven night fully flexible itinerary is ideal for riders of all levels, from experienced to complete beginners. There are no fixed dates, so guests can build this into a longer South Africa itinerary to suit their own dates. During a typical eight day riding holiday you have the opportunity to ride across 21,000 acres of the historic Horizon family estate. There are over 90 free roaming horses and experienced staff will ensure that you are given a horse to suit you.
There is no dangerous game on the reserve, but riders will experience the thrill of riding with giraffe, zebra and antelope while keeping eyes peeled for hyena, jackal and aardvark. Bird watchers are rewarded by over 300 species of birds found on the reserve. Game drives and walks can easily be organised for those in a party who do not wish to ride. There are usually two riding activities each day lasting between two – four hours, fully tailored to each guest, with comparable riders together in groups of no more than eight.
Accommodation is at The Signature Safari Lodge and a night or two can sometimes be spent at Savannah Lodge or Camp Davidson.

The Signature Safari has seven ensuite beautifully appointed rooms. There is a large living area, dining room and large verandah for guests to enjoy. Three delicious meals are served a day with afternoon tea before the ride, drinks are complimentary and there is an inviting pool to cool off in.
